Catharsis

Background
A few days ago I kept repeating Glitter Girl by KidneyThieves, and the sentence "Where's your good fire baby?" really stuck with me.

The same night I had a dream about me fighting off zombies and their dogs, barely surviving. To be able to beat them more efficiently I needed to level up to Fire 4. To do so I needed a certain amount of Health Drinks, Potions and a TON of Catharsis.

I didn't know what Catharsis was, even though I apparently knew perfectly well how to spell it, and I couldn't find any information about where to find it. (In the dream; I even googled it!) I also asked my mother if she knew where to get a hold of it, making her upset and angry.

Right after I woke up, I googled it in real life, haha.

"Catharsis (Ancient Greek: Κάθαρσις ) is a Greek word meaning "purification", "cleansing" or "clarification."

The term in drama refers to a sudden emotional climax that evokes overwhelming feelings of great sorrow, pity, laughter or any other extreme change in emotion, resulting in restoration, renewal and revitalization in members of the audience."

In short, it's about cleansing. In some cultures blood is considered holy, and in others it is believed that bad blood can be mixed with good blood, making the person sick and in need of purging; phlebotomizing/blood letting.

(Me on the other hand believes on some weird level that all blood is impure, and it's the same with meat, which is why I tried to be a vegetarian a few years back. I don't know why, it's just the way I work, but since we were born and nourished by blood, wouldn't that, according to my belief, make life itself impure?)

ANYHOW.

The blood symbolizes the catharsism. There are two ways I want to show it. This is one where you pour your "bad blood" with no one's help but your own. Do note that the cup that collects the blood is broken. There's no way you can collect all of it, some will be spilled and some will not even come out as it's too mixed in with the "good blood".

It's your own choice if you want to drink it (to go through it all again) or destroy it.
